We’ve designed our classes with children at the heart. Whether you’re booking a class to update your qualifications as a professional, or joining a group because you want to feel more confident with your own family, our classes will focus on empowering you in your caring role.
STAR classes encourage interaction and active learning, and are delivered in a friendly and flexible way. You’ll have opportunity to gain new skills, meet other people, and learn in a relaxed environment
Created by founder Kate, who has over 20 years of experience working alongside and teaching children, families and professionals. The company provides tailored options for those looking for child care specific courses.
Holding a BA in Early Years and EYP Status, she is also a certified first aid instructor and has extensive experience in teaching and assessing adult learning. Her career began working with young babies, preschool and school age children, and now a mum to 3, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to STAR’s programmes. Her years of research and practical hands-on experience are
woven into STAR’s programmes for classes.
Our recognised qualifications are both compliant to relevant regulatory standards (such as HSE, OFSTED, EYFS statutory requirements) as well as focussed on examples within the childcare and schools sector. Our introductory classes and classes for children are based on current best practice in these areas as well as influenced by the Early Years Foundation Stage and Primary School curriculum. So wether you want to attend to gain a new professional qualification, for personal development or for fun you can be confident in choosing a course that is right for you.
