Service Description
The 1-day Emergency first aid at work (EFAW) course is ideal for those who need to be certified to be a first aider in lower-risk working environments, it will help you meet your regulatory requirements if your risk assessment indicates that first aid training covering emergency protocols only is sufficient for your workplace. Content included in this course includes: * The role of a first aider and being prepared for emergencies * Assessing emergency situations and prioritising what action to take * Unresponsive Adults * Adult resuscitation (CPR) & AEDs * Allergic reaction * Asthma * Bone, muscle and joint injuries * Burns and scalds * Chest pains * Choking adult * Eye injuries * Fainting * Head injuries and Spinal injuries * Low blood sugar * Minor and severe bleeding * Poisons and what to do if someone has been poisoned * Seizures * Shock * Stroke

Cancellation Policy
Payment for this course is required in full at booking, with services withheld for non-payment. Cancellations must be in writing (please email), incurring a 50% charge if made anytime up to 2 weeks prior, and 100% if less than 14 days. Group re-bookings and single attendee swaps are at STAR's discretion, subject to at least 30 days' notice is given, and registration fees being covered. If we need to postpone, alternative dates or venues will be offered. All learners must act honestly and respectfully, and follow STAR's Learner Agreement, or services may withheld.
